Lifeguards must be certified in lifesaving training, CPR, and first aid to ensure they can effectively respond to emergencies. These certifications equip them with essential skills to safeguard lives, providing immediate assistance during critical situations at pools, beaches, and other aquatic environments.

American Red Cross Lifegaurd Training

Earn your lifeguarding certification from the American Red Cross. Our courses reflect the latest techniques based on science and best practices to ensure that you are properly trained and prepared for emergencies in and around the water.

George Mason University Recreation
